What’s HMO?
Human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) are complex sugar molecules that are unique to human milk and not digestible by babies. At a concentration of 10-15g/L in breast milk, HMOs are the third largest component in human milk after lactose and lipids. Unlike breast milk, bovine milk does not contain the quantity nor unique structures needed for optimal infant development.
