Our History
The Zappalà’s story starts at the beginning of the ‘70s from a small laboratory – now a big Dairy Company – placed in Sicily at the slopes of Mount Etna. In the ‘80s, the laboratory changed look, it became a real plant. Hence, the small family enterprise became a real Company. The business management is in the hands of the current entrepreneurial generation. Zappalà started to supply the main distribution chains belonging to the South of Italy very soon so as to create a strong commercial control in this area. In the ‘90s instead it started to expand through the national and international market. Nowadays, Zappalà is among the top ten Italian Dairy Companies with the same passion and the best genuineness and quality ever.

Zappalà uses to pursue the right balance between craftsmanship and tradition in Dairy production and the necessity of efficiency and organization regarding productive process. What makes Zappalà unique is the big enthusiasm and the will to offer always new solutions creating value for our customers. People are really important. The Zappalà’s products reach daily the leading distributor brands and more than 30 countries around the world, including Japan, Germany, France, Great Britain, Korea and so on. Distribution is managed directly in Sicily and Calabria and through distribution
platforms in other regions. Supermarkets, traditional grocery, but also catering and wholesale are served as well.
