Ceramic Raschig ring is the earliest developed bulk filler. Its shape is simple, and its homogeneity is equal to its diameter. Large-sized Raschig rings (over 100mm) are generally filled regularly by masonry, while Raschig rings below 75mm are generally filled by random stacking.
