The STEM Book focuses on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, through which it develops mastery of 14 science process skills essential to all professions and walks of life.
These skills range from observing, generalizing, and comparing to experimenting, predicting, and arguing from evidence. Using vocabulary taught in the corresponding Student Book lesson, each STEM lesson features four stimulating activities, each designed to pique children’s natural curiosity and teach a specific science process skill. Given the ubiquity and cruciality of STEM in today’s world, children who can understand and interpret data, form and test hypotheses, analyze cause and effect, and make data-driven decisions have a marked advantage and increased opportunities, regardless of academic discipline or career.
