Brown aluminum oxide is made of high-quality bauxite, anthracite, and iron filings. It is cooled and smelted at a high temperature by more than 2000 degrees in an electric arc. It is crushed and shaped by a jaw crusher and a ball mill. After magnetic separation, the sieve is divided into various kinds. Its compact texture, high hardness, suitable for the manufacture of ceramics, grinding of high tensile metal and grinding, polishing, sandblasting, precision casting, etc., can also be used to manufacture advanced refractory materials.
Brown aluminum oxide is a generally used material in manufacturing abrasive products and refractory products. It is not so hard as WA grain. The products made from brown fused alumina is very suitable for tough task like large sandblasting outdoor, rough grinding work, etc. Meanwhile, it is a very moderately cost-efficient material comparing with WA.

What is the difference between Tilting furnace melted BFA and Fixing furnace melted BFA/Ball milling and Barmac process?
1. Tilting furnace process affects SiO2 content, The SiO2 <1% with BFA made by Tilting furnace, conventional fixed furnace SiO2 <1.5%
2. Barmac affects the density, the Barmac crushed grain is of a rounder shape and the density is greater than that of the ball milling BFA.
3. The Tilting furnace made BFA has high Al2O3 content
4. The brown corundum produced by the dumping furnace process has good toughness and is more suitable for abrasive products.
The difference between F-grit and P-grit abrasive grains:
F-grit is more suitable for bonded abrasive tools.
P-grit is more suitable for coated abrasive tools. It is with a closer tolerance size distribution, lower density, and better self-sharpening ability than non-P-grit abrasives, which means that they offer a more consistent surface finish.
