Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG
Harvest: grapes are hand-picked from the beginning of September
Growing region: hill of Cartizze, a 107-ha subzone near Valdobbiadene, top of the DOCG’s quality pyramid. It is situated in the northeast of Italy, between Venice and the Dolomites, in the Veneto region.
Appearance: straw yellow colour, with greenish hints. Fine and persistent perlage.
Nose: fruity notes of apple, pear and acacia blossom.
Palate: finely aromatic and elegant.
Pairings: great as a dessert wine, it is also good with shellfish or with mild spicy Asian dishes.

The Drusian family has been producing Prosecco wine for three generations and now owns 80 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019. In our everyday routine, we put quality first, starting from the vine. On these steep hillside vineyards, wine-growing is very labor-intensive. Every operation is performed manually. It requires up to 600-800 hours of work a year, compared with about 95 hours og the grapes that are machine-harvested along the valley floor. It takes some great effort to produce our sparkling wines, but it allows us to have a unique quality product.

Francesco Drusian has been committed to environmental sustainability for a long time. In our vineyards, we adopt green practices to fight insects and we use organic fertilizers. Furthermore, we manage water resources consciously. We invest in renewable energy resources that make our commitment to sustainable development even more rigorous.
