Located in the industrial area of Corigliano Calabro, in the heart ofthe Piana di Sibari, Medimais Calabra srl was born in 1996 as acommercial branch of Itagal srl, which was itself created in 1989 bythe will of Ermanno Gallo, who at the time dedicated himself todevelop a plant, first in Europe, to obtain feed from citruspeels, asresidues from juice extractors.
After five years of experiments in1994 parts of the real production and own and its
cutomers included all the large feed mills of Italy.
In 1996 the production plants were modified accordingly of to able towork in the summer period by carrying out the dehydration offodder (alfalfa, corn, ryegrass) that came marketed in pellets and bales,always for feed use.
This was also the first plant of its kind in the south of Italy.
THE TURNING POINT
In 2000 the company decided to expand by investing in a citrusjuice extraction plant in order to obtain.
From squeezing the juice to be resold to companies producing drinks and with the residuecontinue to produce feed.
In 2011 Medimais Calabra srl was a simple commercial but becomes the branch juice production whilethe Itagal remains the production of feed.
Due to market trends and rising costs of production the feddindustry has gone more and more fading, forcing the company togradually stop the production and to invest in the juice sector byincreasing production more and more, currently the Medi MaisCalabra covers an area of about 20000 quare meters andtransforms about 120000 quintals of citrus fruits per year of which 90% are made up of clementines.
The residual skins from theextraction of the juice was used as biogas plant for the productionofelectrical energy.
Since 2016 the company has been investing inthe reserach of new product, under the clemi brand, based onclementine own for enhance the main production of the Piana di Sibari famous in all over the world for its orgaholectic qualities.

The clementine museum was born from the happymeeting of intentions, dictated by love for their land.Calabria is rich and wild, proud and neglecteddaughter of ancient peoples. The resource parexcellence is citrus apyrene clementine with which itsproduction becomes excellence of the Piana di Sibari.
Hence theimperative need for keep its history, transmit it, preserve it. Destroythe memory is euqivalent to destroying the basis of one's identityand continuity over the time.
With the birth of thismuseum westrongly want to continue the idea of Calabria that aware of itsbeauties, capable of
generate and plan cultural and educational pathsbeyond the usual vision.
