The average size of a carcass can reach a length of about 45-50 cm, the weight of the carcass to 1.1 kilograms. Kukumaria is found in the seas washing the eastern part of Russia. Kukumoria spawning takes place in two stages: in May and in the middle of summer.
The body of kukumoria has an elongated shape similar to a cucumber. Dense, the back has a rounding. An interesting fact is that in the water, the kukumoria is in an extended state, but when it is caught, the body decreases and resembles a small ball. The color is dark gray or purple. The abdomen is light, it has a large number of legs. Kukumoria feeds mainly on pieces of silt.
Kukumoria meat has its own unique taste, which distinguishes it from other seafood. Its use is widespread in Asian cuisine. It is used in dried, smoked or thermally processed form. Contains a large number of nutrients. It is a prophylactic agent for thyroid disease, diabetes. It has a tonic and restorative effect.
