Tagetes erecta is native to Mexico and Guatemala. Lutein is a type of vitamin called a carotenoid present in it. It is related to beta-carotene and vitamin A. This plant contains ingredients that might help decrease swelling (inflammation) and spasms, calm the nerves, and reduce blood pressure.
