MCPC® peptide is a biosynthetic henicosapeptide material of biomimetic concept of milk casein phosphopeptide (CPP) for the treating osteoporosis and it contains three phosphorylated serine that can chelates calcium ion and other divalent trace elements(Fe,Cu,Mg,Zn).
MCPC® are obtained and produced as a MCP®-Ca complex through MCP® chelating properties to calcium ions to the formation of the colloidal complex.

Mechanism


*MCPC® has a highly negative charged of core structure ” Ser(P)-Ser(P)-Ser(P)-Glu-Glu” that can chelate calcium ions in the weak alkaline environment of small intestine to prevent the formation of calcium phosphate precipitation and therefore avoids the loss of calcium and promotes intestinal absorption of calcium ions.
*The combination of MCP® and calcium is dynamic. The calcium ions are continuously bound, released, recombined and released again by MCP®, so that a MCP® molecule can protect more than 30 calcium ions from precipitation.
