Lotte Food’s (CEO Jin-seong Lee) export milk powder brand ‘Nubone’ has been certified as Halal by the Korea Halal Association (KOHAS).
‘Newborn’ is one of Lotte Food’s export milk powder brands launched in 2019, and is being sold throughout Vietnam. The annual sales plan is 2 billion won.
Lotte Food said, “The Halal Association is conducting a halal certification review with the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA). 'Newborn' is the first milk powder to receive IFANCA halal certification.”
Pakistan has the fifth largest population of 225 million in the world, and is a country with a large number of young people with an average age of only 23.5 years. More than 97% of the population is Muslim, and all food exported to Pakistan must be halal certified.
