According to the ancient Apulian (South Italy) tradition, these tarallini are typical of the Christmas period, and more precisely of December 13th, the day in which Saint Lucia is celebrated.
To make them, only a few simple ingredients: flour, extra virgin olive oil, white wine and fresh eggs. They are then covered with
a light icing of sugar flavored with lemon, which gives them fragrance.
