Name of invention:     Natural composite for the prevention and treatment of skin inflammation

This invention pertains to a natural composite that prevents skin inflammation such as atopic dermatitis. More specifically, a mixture of black bamboo, thermal spring salts and rooibos water was found to have an anti-inflammatory effect in cell culture. Furthermore, a cosmetic product including the above mentioned natural composite was found to effectively reduce the expression of cytokine mRNA in cell culture. These results suggest that the composite of this invention effectively and consistently suppresses inflammation in cells and tissues. Consequently, this composite can be used as an externally applied functional cosmetic for the suppression of inflammation in conditions such as atopic dermatitis.
