Rosin resin is a important raw material, widely used in different industrial field, main useage is as below:
1. Soap industry
Rosin is cooked with soda or caustic soda to form rosin soap. Rosin soap has a great detergency, is easily soluble in water, can
dissolve oils, and is prone to foaming.
2. Paper industry
Rosin is used as a papermaking compound in the paper industry. Rosin and caustic soda made of rosin sodium soap, that is, rubber,
rubber compound mixed with pulp and added alum, so that rosin become insoluble free resin acid particles attached to the small
fibers, when the pulp in the drying cylinder rolling heating
3. Paint and coating industry
Rosin is easily soluble in various organic solvents, and its film-forming film is glossy. It is one of the basic raw materials for
paint coatings.
4. Ink industry
Rosin is mainly used as a chromophore in printing inks and enhances the adhesion of ink to paper. If rosin is not used in the ink,
the printed ink will be dull and unclear.
5. Adhesive industry
Adhesives based on rosin esters and hydrogenated rosin esters are commonly used as hot melt adhesives, pressure sensitive
adhesives, and rubber tackifiers.
6. Rubber Industry
Rosin is used as a softener in the rubber industry to increase its elasticity. Disproportionated rosin potassium soap can be used
as synthetic rubber.
7. Food industry
Hydrogenated rosin glycerides are heated and melted with natural chicle, wax, vinyl acetate, etc., and then blended with spices,
sugar, and pigments to make chewing gum.
8. Electric industry
The use of rosin 35% and 65% bright oil as insulating oil on the cable used as a protective film, insulation and heat resistance.
