Shwin Chang Lone Co., Ltd. (SCL) began working in the tea business in the early 1980s as a traditional tea trader. In 2001, SCL started planting 0.4 kilometre square of tea trees as poppy substitute for a regional development project. Through careful planning and management, the project was successfully implemented and was able to make a positive impact and contribution to Tangyan region by creating hundreds of jobs to the locals. Thus, the plantation now has expanded to 1.5 kilometre square.

Currently, SCL owns four green tea factories and one CTC black tea factory, from which various types of tea are produced and distributed both in Myanmar's domestic markets and international markets. (There are four tea brand names under SCL at the moment, they are Mother's Love, Than Win, Loi Leng and Mont Ruby)
