Company Profile

Our territory in a glass
Vigna Petrussa is a family-run winery with 8 hectares of land in one of the best wine-making corners within the cru area of "Colli Orientali del Friuli" (North-East of Italy). We produce between 40,000 and 44,000 bottles divided between 12 varieties of wine.
We follow the traditional wine making process which puts the quality of our grapes at the heart of our vinification. As a result, our wines are able to tell the story of our lands and will show the perfumes, flavors and colors of our grapes above, skillfully brought out, softened and honed through selection, vinification and ageing in barrels. Our family has been making wine in this very same location since 1850 and for the last 3 generations women in the family are taking our wine business towards the future.
We follow every single phase of the production with meticulousness, with my mother and myself participating and supervising every single phase of these processes. Tradition is the foundation of what we do intertwined with the rhythms of nature and the moon cycles. We are certificate SQNPI environmentally friendly wines
Our wines are the reflection of what makes many feminine attributes so important in everyday life: the kindness of our gentle love, the warmth of our passions and the ability to surprise you with our beauty, our elegance and our strengths. All these we endeavor to pour in our bottles. This is us: Love, Passion, Meticulous work and Strong Character, just like the wines we make. Recently VINOUS described us as "One of Italy's best and most under the radar estates".

Our Philosophy

Environment friendly and Sustainable Wines
The love for the little things, patience and passion allow us to produce high quality wines using methods that respect the environment and the territory, giving to those who taste them a sip of unique specialties to nature.
Our winery has obtained the SQNPI mark for environmental sustainability.
The SQNPI brand (National Quality System for Integrated Production), conceived by the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and
Forestry Policies, has the dual objective of adding value to the product and assuring the consumer that our winery cultivates
grapes according to agronomic techniques that respect the environment and human health, that is to say “Sustainable Quality”.
