DMA (Dimethyl adipate) molecular formula is C8H14O4 as an organic compound. Classified as as a raw material for β-Hydroxyalkyamide, which is a hardening agent for outdoor powder coating, which requires weather resistance, and was developed as a substitute for TGIC hardening agent which is widely used. Moreover, it is one of the main components of dibasic ester (DBE) used as a solvent of polyester paint. In general, it can replace gradually regulated materials and industrial solvents in mixing with other solvents, and they are easily biodegradable and stable to room temperature, humidity and pH and non VOC according to its vapour pressure. DMA is a low toxicity, readily biodegradable, low odour oxygenated solvent that can be used in a variety of applications including agrochemicals, polymer intermediates.
