Yes, it is welcome. Most of our ODM customers would like to visit our factory for further evaluation. Reservation is a must, please make an appointment at least one month before the estimated visit date.
2. What is the MOQ of your products?
In consideration of batch production, the MOQ would be 1,000 pcs per order. If critical parts like Blue tooth module, MCU, etc., the MOQ would be more than 1,000 pcs.
3. What is the correspondent development cost of ODM?
The development cost, also known NRE charges of ODM includes Mechanical Design Costs, Die-cast Fabrication Cost, Firmware Design Cost if required, and T1/T2 sampling Cost. Development cost depends on how difficult the product concept is. Kindly be informed that development costs are NOT refundable.
4. How many sampling rounds are required for ODM project?
No matter OEM or ODM, the sampling rounds would be:
1st step: make initial samples, usually 1 or 2pcs samples for functional test. In case initial samples need to be modified, then we would go back to the 1st step. If the initial samples are approved, then we will move on to the 2nd step - make pilot-run
production. Once the pilot-run samples are approved, then we would move on to mass production. The limited sampling round for the initial samples would be 2~3 times. We keep the right to reject for the request of 3rd modification; Or, we may request additional costs to bear the development cost.
5. Based on ODM, how to confirm the materials & specifications of the products prior to mass production?
To proceed ODM, we will create a product design for your examination before developing ODM product.
6. Can you do customized package?
Yes, we can handle customized package if required. The cost would depend on packaging styles/types, dimensions, materials, thickness, etc. The most common would be packaging box, we can also proceed with cardboard with hanger as well as custom design packages.
7. Is it possible to show my logo on the products?
Yes, we can show your logo on the products but not for modules like Blue tooth module or CMOS fingerprint module. One-color logo silk-screen on the product is the most cost-saving effect.
8. What is the lead time of mass production?
The lead time of mass production would depend on quantities and parts like chipsets, metal plates, and ABS. For standard parts we have regular stock (for example: keyboard controller, USB Hub, etc.), the lead time would be 25-35 days upon confirmation/ approval of pre-production samples. For the critical parts like Blue tooth chipset, touch sensor board, or controller of the smart card reader which we do not have stock, the lead time would be 60~ 75 days. Above lead time are available for new items.
9. What kind of payment term do you accept?
The payment term will be 30% advance payment, balance before shipment. For the order along with an amount lower than USD 1500, we may request 100% advance payment to be paid by online payment systems like Payoneer or PayPal.
10. How about the shipping method?
In most cases, the trade term would be FOB Shenzhen/ Guangzhou/ Zhongshan Seaport China. The shipment could be arranged by the client or Digimore, in the way of SEA or AIR. The most common shipping method would be EXPRESS, we can use: DHL / UPS / FedEx / TNT / SF Express / EMS / other express companies for prompt delivery. It is always welcome by using your contracted courier if necessary.
11. What is the warranty of the products?
For PC peripherals like keyboard or mouse, we provide 0.5% free units per shipment as RMA replacement. For Blue tooth modules and CMOS fingerprint modules, we provide one-year warranty.
