CASSAVA STARCH
We known Cassava Starch as the beneficial product with its functions:
- Food industry: used as additives for confectionery industry, canning.
- Construction industry: used as a concrete binder, increasing the link to the clay, limestone, used as wood adhesives, additives for paints.
- Cosmetics and pharmaceutical Industry: used as bleaching powder, make up, and additives for soap, hand lotion, adjuvants.
- Mining industry: used as additives for mineral flotation, liquid emulsions in oil and gas drilling.
- Paper industry: used in three stages of production process; beater sizing or wet-end, surfacing sizing or size-press and surface coating.
- Textile Industry: widely used in the sizing of yarns and finishing of cotton and polyester fabrics.
- Agriculture: used as swelling, moist soil and crops against drought.
- Other applications: used as a layer of biodegradable plastic, dry battery, leather, glue melting, gluing, molding, metal sintering additives.
