It grows mainly in the northern European part of Russia, Western and Eastern Siberia, in the Far East. It is widely distributed in the mountain-forest belt of the Eastern Altai and Sayan. Occurs in forest and tundra zones, in the forest belt of mountains, in swampy coniferous forests, sometimes in birch forests, in peat bogs, along river valleys

Outwardly used for edema, wounds, lichen, rashes, abscesses, hematomas, boils, eye inflammation, insect and poisonous snake bites, frostbite, to increase blood circulation in the fingers with numbness (sclerosis of the vessels of the extremities, endarteritis).
Infusion: 1 tsp. herbs in 2 cups of cold boiled water, leave for 8 hours in a sealed container, strain. Take 1/2 glass 4 times a day for bronchial asthma, whooping cough, pulmonary tuberculosis, gout, rheumatism, colds.
2 tbsp herbs pour 5 tbsp. sunflower oil, leave for 12 hours in a sealed container on a hot stove, drain. Apply externally for skin diseases
