Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS), a thermoplastic polymer with high strength, good toughness and easy processing and moulding. ABS is a terpolymer of acrylonitrile, 1,3-butadiene and styrene.
It can perform normally at -25°C to 60°C.
It also has good formability, and the processed products have a bright surface and are easy to dye and electroplate.
And it can be blended with a variety of resins to form a blend. Nowadays, it is mainly used in alloys and plastics.

ABS resin is a slightly yellow solid with a certain toughness and a density of about 1.04~1.06 g/cm3. It is relatively resistant to acids, alkalis and salts, and can also withstand organic solvents dissolved to some extent.
ABS resin plating can perform normally at -25°C to 60°C. It also has good formability and processes products with a bright and clean surface that is easy to dye and plating. Therefore it can be used for everyday items such as appliance casings and toys.
ABS resin can be blended with a variety of resins to form blends such as PC/ABS, ABS/PVC, PA/ABS, PBT/ABS, etc. to produce new properties and new applications, e.g. mixing ABS resin with PMMA to produce transparent ABS resin.
