We are a young and dynamic group of people who form the Cabert Team.
More than 60 years have passed since Cabert could be defined as a small Italian winery. Over 200 hectolitres of wine are bottled every day and distributed to more than 25 countries. However, despite this, we have never forgotten and we never forget that quality is not measured by the size of the winery, but by the quality of the wine. While continuing to enter new markets, our commitment to guaranteeing you the very best products is not only constant, but is the foundation on which our philosophy is based.
CABERT wines are born from the love we have for our land, and from a long wine-making tradition integrated with cutting-edge technological innovations. The result is extreme attention to detail throughout all stages of production, and a deep respect for the terroir, our vines, and all their peculiar qualities. Cabert is located in Bertiolo, a town at the heart of Friuli, where the Alps protect the area from the cold north wind, while the nearby Adriatic Sea helps maintain a mild climate.
It is a large area formed by the floodplains of rivers, which, over the millennia, have deposited enormous quantities of dolomitic limestone, torn from mountains by the violence of the water and dragged downstream along the riverbeds. The stony surface reflects light necessary for the grapes to ripen during the day, and releases the heat, accumulated in the hottest hours, during the night. This favours a more homogeneous ripening of the grapes, and the development of a wide spectrum of fragrances and aromas.
It is here that the excellent wines that have made Friuli Venezia Giulia world-famous come to life.
It is our belief that, the earth gives its best fruits only if it is fully respected. Respecting it means treating it with the least invasive and natural products as possible. Precisely for this reason, our vineyards are cultivated in a way that minimizes environmental impacts and fully respects the nature around them. Only the minimum necessary treatments are carried out, those that have the very least impacts on the soil and on the vineyard, in the spirit of better sustainability.
