Unna boot is a compression dressing made by wrapping layers of gauze around your leg and foot. It is often used to protect an
ulcer or open wound. The compression of the dressing helps improve blood flow in your lower leg. Compression also helps decrease
swelling and pain.

How to use
STEP 1
With foot at right angle, wrap dressing without pressure around foot, starting at base of toes.
STEP 2
Using spiral wrap technique, continue upward with 50% overlap to just below the knee. Cut bandage if needed. Smooth into place.
STEP 3
Secure in place with appropriate secondary dressing such as cohesive bandage, elastic bandage or gauze roll. Ceck tose for color & warmth to ensure dressing is not impeding circulation.
