George is a new brand in Okunomatsu. Okunomatsu Sake Brewery has over 300 years history. Mr.Yusa who is founder of Okunomatsu used to be Samurai. After he lost the war, he changed jobs from Samurai to Brewer. George in Kanji characters means Samurai Brewer in English. After over 300 years, Mr. George Yusa who is 19th president of Okunomatsu launched George brand.A pleasant fragrance with lightest touch of berry fruit ties in nicely to a flavor that has a nice overall mouth feel.

The brewery established in 1716 at the foot of Mt.Adatara in Nihonmatsu city, has one of the longest history in Tohoku, Japan. The brewery starts with pure underground water and carefully selected good quality rice.
