Red Light

The wavelength of the deep red light is 660nm. It passes the skin's epidermis and penetrates the underlying muscles and ligaments to a depth of up to 2-3 cm. Research studies have demonstrated that the delivery of this energy may improve cellular metabolism and blood circulation, thereby enhancing wound healing and recovery from muscle injury. Deep red light has also been studied for its pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties, with promising results.

Infrared and near-infrared light

Infrared (IR) light and near-infrared light have a wavelength of 780nm - 900nm. This is invisible to the human eye but can be sensed as heat. Of all the available LED wavelengths, IR light penetrates the deepest into the soft tissues and bones. Numerous studies have been conducted about the benefit of IR light in relieving skeletal muscle fatigue as well as with shortened recovery time after strenuous exercise. A daily treatment with near-IR LEDs on the afflicted area can reduce muscle pain and accelerate recovery. We currently provide solutions for Therapy LED lights for both humans and horses.
