Mie Prefecture produces about 70% of the nation's aosa nori in Japan, making it a specialty of Mie Prefecture.
We mainly use aosa nori washed with fresh water instead of seawater, so the finished product after drying is voluminous and of excellent quality in terms of aroma, flavor, and color.
Aosa Nori is a healthy ingredient rich in dietary fiber, vitamins and minerals, so it can be used safely in a variety of dishes.
The most common way to enjoy it is in miso soup, but it also goes well with a wide range of other dishes, from Japanese dishes such as miso soup, omelet, udon, zosui, natto, and kakiage to Western dishes such as pasta, risotto, and gratin.
