What is the furniture made from?
We manufacture our furnishings primarily from mahogany wood, a beautiful hardwood that produces antique reproduction furniture. We also use MDF (laminated timber) with veneer on the large surface where there is a risk of warping.
What is the moisture content of the furniture?
All wood is kiln dried to 8-12% moisture content to prevent any cracking, warping or splitting. We also do the kiln dry on our raw furniture, in fact we always do the kiln dry 2 times before the finish work.
How long is the production time?
Our minimum production time is 8 weeks after the deposit is received. For any modification or tailor mode will need longer time, depends on the kind of furniture and the finish you require.
Do I have a choice on finish color?
Yes, we offer some finished colors, please see “Finishing Color” in our website. You may use your own color by sending your sample product for us to copy.
What is the minimum order?
As we are furniture manufacturers we sell B2B and do not sell directly to the public. Our minimum order quantity is a 20ft container. You have the ability to mix your furniture purchases across all our ranges and we do not have a minimum order quantity per piece of furniture.
What are your price terms?
Our prices are based on Free On Board (FOB) Semarang Port, Indonesia.
What are your payment terms? There are 2 kinds of payment method you can choose: Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) 40% deposit, then 60% balance payment against copies of shipping document. Irrevocable at signing L/C with additional charge 1.5% of invoice value to cover the L/C cost
Can you send me a furniture sample?
We will be happy to send you our furniture samples from our regular collection : subject management. The price of products and freight costs will be absorbed by your side.
What is the price for custom furniture?
Costs may vary for each item, depending on size of the furniture, materials and time involved. Please contact us for details.
Can I be assured of quality?
Yes. We are only producing fine furniture with grade A quality timber. Our experienced quality controller will check and re-inspect each piece of our product to ensure high quality furniture with the standard uniformity.
How can I check your quality before I decide to purchase a container of furniture?
Please come to our factory or hire an agent to check the quality of our furniture. Alternatively, please inform us your contact details then we will inform you schedule visit our booth to see our furniture quality before making any decision.
How many pieces will fit into a 40ft HQ container?
Between 140 to 225 pcs of mixed size furniture, please contact us for detail.
What packing materials do you use?
We use 1mm and 8 mm foam sheet to protect our furniture inside the box. Then we use double wall carton box as final packaging. Please advise us if you require alternate packing arrangements, in most cases, we shall be able to comply with such requirement and advise if there is any additional cost incur.
How do I place an order?
Please choose items from our website/catalogue website www.theempireliving.com, and contact us with your purchase order including color finish you require, we will calculate total volume/CBM available and contact you for the order confirmation.
