About HiraTen
MADE IN JAPAN parasols made by craftsmen
HiraTen
A parasol brand made from original domestic embroidered fabric created by designer Eriko Nakatani, who grew up in the seaside town of Akashi.
It also features color variations that stand out against the local Akashi's favorite sea and sky. Umbrellas have long been considered lucky charms because of their wide width. Sixtieth birthday celebration, betrothal return, Mother's Day, Father's Day, school entrance celebration, etc. This parasol is made in Japan and makes a perfect gift.
Original embroidery fabric
We create our own original fabrics by matching the type of fabric and color of thread.
Decide on the base color and thickness of the fabric, then decide what design to put on it and what thread color to embroider.
How does it look against the sky blue...
While thinking, ''I wish I had a parasol like this,'' we produce cute fabrics that can't be found anywhere else.

Banshu-ori
"Banshu-ori" is a local industry representing Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture. Originating from Nishijin-ori in Kyoto, it boasts over 200 years of history and tradition. Using a method called ''yarn-dyed textile'', in which the yarn is first dyed and the dyed yarn is woven into patterns, it is characterized by its natural texture and rich colors. The ''Banshu-ori'' used in HiraTen's parasols is subjected to a ''crush processing (patented)'' that moves the weft threads into soft curves to create a unique nuance, resulting in expressive and elegant parasols. This manufacturing method has won numerous awards at home and abroad, making it a fabric we are proud of.

The story at hand
J-shaped wooden handle:
use it for large parasols. The size is suitable for both men and women. Made of autumn leaf-colored rattan, it is simple, easy to grip, and has a sturdy construction.
J-shaped cold bamboo handle:
The length of the straight line between the knots and bends of cold bamboo creates a smart and cool line even when closed. Another feature is that it is non-slip.
Curved hand of cold bamboo / Kantake's waka hand:
These two hands have been making walking sticks and Western umbrella parts since the early Showa period. Popular with those looking for a unique piece.
