SureSigns VS2+ Patient Monitor Spo2 Board 453564129901 Used in Good Working Patient Monitor Parts Medical Equipment

The SpO2 module uses optical spectrophotometric technology to measure blood oxygen saturation. The technology is based on the differential absorption of red and infrared light by oxyhemoglobin and deoxygenated hemoglobin. Pulse oximeters emit red and infrared light into the arteries and measure changes in light absorption during the pulse cycle. The light sources are red and infrared light-emitting diodes (LEDs). To determine the oxygen saturation of hemoglobin in the arteries, the monitor uses the rhythmic nature of arterial blood flow. During systole, new arterial blood pulses enter the vacuole bed and both blood volume and light absorption increase. During diastole, blood volume and light absorption are at their lowest. The measurement is based on the difference between maximum and minimum absorption, with an emphasis on pulsating red blood cells. In addition to the oxygen saturation measurement function, the measurement also provides the pulse rate.
