AISI D6 tool Steel Forged

Pre-heat to 700°C slowly, then rapidly to 900-1050°C start forging. After forging cool slowly to room temperature in furnace.

AISI D6 cold work Steel Annealing

D6 tool steel is supplied in the annealing and machineable. Heat to 800-840°C and slowly cool ing furnace. Get hardness about 225HB.

AISI cold work D6 Steel Stress relieving

If machining have been heavy,remove stresses before hardening by heating up to 650-700°C. then cool slowly.

Quenching of D6 Tool Steel metal material grade

Heat to 750-800 soak enough time until to thoroughly. The re-heat to 950-980°C , hold these temperature ensure heat thoroughly. Cool in air or quench in oil. Vacuum (high speed gas) hardening is perfect.

Tempering of D6 tool steel grade metal material

Heat uniformly to Temper at tempering temperature. Double tempering is perfect.
