Quality Requirements:
Grade “A”

  • 4 sides clear without any defects

  • false heartwood not allowed


Grade “B”

  • 3 sides clear

  • up to 2..3 knots with max. diameter 15mm per running meter allowed only on bottom face

  • false heartwood not allowed


Grade “C”

  • 1..3 faces clear

  • up to 2..3 sound knots with max. diameter 15mm per running meter allowed only on bottom face

  • false heartwood on bottom face is allowed up to 50% of the thickness of the element


Grade “Rustic”

  • up to 2..3 sound knots with max. diameter 40mm per running meter allowed on both faces

  • up to 1..2 dark knots with max. diameter 25mm per running meter allowed on both faces

  • false heartwood allowed without limitations


General
Requirements:

  • rot, insects, wormholes not allowed

  • face, end and edge cracks not allowed

  • ring shakes not allowed
