Annalisa Busani, A.I.S. Sommelier grow his experience in the family wine farm “Il Cavalierino” in Montepulciano - south of Siena province. Here in this beautiful landscape she learn about growing grapes and making wine mostly with organic approach.
The passion and the traveling around the world with her father Aurelio give her the idea to create a selection of good wines, complementary to his family wines, produced from small winemakers that do not have the capability to make and sell their wines alone.
With "Cavallino" range of wine we intend to offer a selection of most popular Italian wines from different regions and to help you save time and costs.
Cavallino enjoys a unique and privileged position in the beautiful high hills of Poggiano within a stone’s throw from the historical towns of Montepulciano and Pienza just south of Siena.
155 prime acres of vineyards, olive groves, woods and cypress trees are bathed in a soft, golden Tuscan light. Wild boars, hares, pheasants, the local cinta pigs with their characteristic black coat and white band, and the renowned Chianina cows still run through our forest on the edge of our open land, just as they did in Etruscan and Roman times.
On the ground there are restored stone houses and from there you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Val d'Orcia and the Val di Chiana. The vineyard, with its partly organically cultivated areas, pays respect to the surrounding nature.
