Many V-rollers are lined up in steelworks to transport steel pipes.
Split V-roller is a prototype of stand-alone V-roll.
It is also ideal for applications that require load bearing and wear resistance.
V-rollers are generally made by lining urethane rubber around iron core.
Split V-rollers are made as such for easy installation and removal. By doing this, labor costs in steelworks can be economized.
There is split iron core in the center part of the urethane rubber, and that urethane rubber is attached to the outside.
The urethane part is made by molding each half-split one-by-one.
Therefore, to make one set (two pieces) of each split separately, the manufacturing costs will increase due to the matching of the half-splits when stacking them. However, because of the large number of V-rollers, the labor cost for installation and removal in steelworks can be significantly reduced.
And so, even if the product unit price increases, split-type V rollers are regularly adopted and used.
