In 1997 an old copper still dating back to the early '900 and which had been shelved by Gaetano Amato, the founder of the distillery, for almost 80 years was put back into operation. In the meantime, Giuseppe Amato obtained a Master's Degree in Grappa Sciences, qualifying as a Master Distiller,
