Artis'Raw is cofounded by 3 young Tunisians; 2 Engineers and 1 artist. It aims at promoting the Tunisian Art based on raw materials and the inherited know-how from our ancestors.
Tunisia is a rich source of raw material. It is distinguished by:
- 3,000-year history of olive farming with a huge number of biological olive tree farms in all the regions from the North to the South. These farms are considered as a rich source of a very hard, durable and naturally antibacterial wood.
- A large desert in the south with beautiful Oasis and Date Palm, which is a source of Palm fronds/leaves.
- Vast forests in the north mainly consisting of Aleppo pine, cork oak, Zen oak and maritime pine, providing a rich source of wood and cork
- High mountains in the central-west of the country, rich in a strong, flexible, fibrous grass called Halfa i.e. Stipa tenacissima.
- Herds of cattle providing fine leather and wool.

We inherited from old ancestry the know-how of using those raw material for different purposes:
- Olive wood and copper to fabricate utensils.
- Sheep's wool to weave carpets.
- Goat & Sheep's leather to sew wears and bags.
- Palm fronds and Stipa tenacissima to weave baskets and hats.

We design the majority of our items and manufacture them with our partners from Olive wood, copper, wool, Palm fronds, Stipa tenacissima, leather^
