Quartz, most common of all minerals is composed of silicon dioxide, or silica, SiO2. It is an essential component of igneous and metamorphic rocks. The size varies from specimens weighing a metric ton to minute particles that sparkle in rock surfaces.
The scientific composition is silicon and oxygen atoms in a continuous framework of SiO4 silicon�??oxygen tetrahedra, with every oxygen atom being co-valently shared between two tetrahedra, giving an overall chemical formula of SiO2. Quartz mineral basically differ from SIO2 in the sense that it contains Silica(SIO2) with certain other elements/impurities in a fixed composition.
Our Quartz Powder can be used by paint and coating industries, ceramic industries, artificial stones producers, abrasive industries, metallurgy industries, and so many others. They can also be used as semi-precious gemstones or in the production of cement, glass and other industrial products.
