What is PVD?
PVD refers to Physical Vapor Position. PVD technology refers to the technology of vaporizing the surface of material source (solid or liquid) into gaseous atoms or molecules, or partially ionizing into ions under vacuum conditions, and depositing films with special functions on the surface of the substrate through the process of low pressure gas (or plasma). Physical vapor deposition is one of the main surface treatment technologies.
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating technology is mainly divided into three categories: vacuum evaporation coating, vacuum sputtering coating and vacuum ion coating. The main methods of physical vapor deposition include vacuum evaporation, sputtering, arc plasma, ion and molecular beam epitaxy.
