Acid Proof Brick
Acid-resistant bricks are made of clay and other non-metallic raw materials, and are processed by molding, sintering and other processes. They are suitable for acid-resistant linings and floor bricks or plate-shaped acid-resistant products. Due to the compact structure and low water absorption of acid-resistant bricks, they can withstand any concentration of alkaline media at room temperature, but are not resistant to high-temperature molten alkali. Acid-resistant bricks contain more than 70% silicon dioxide and are sintered. In the chemical industry, they are mostly used to build acid trenches, acid wells, acid storage tanks and impacted floors with large acid loads.
