PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

 VVRS 50% STUD CATTLE CONCENTRATE is a concentrate designed to be mixed with grain to produce a ration suitable for feeding to stud cattle.

 

VVRS 50% STUD CATTLE CONCENTRATE has been specially formulated to provide a balanced ration when added to grain and roughage. This concentrate, comprising of a combination of vegetable proteins meals and urea, supplies calcium, phosphorus and other essential nutrients required by the animal. It also includes a rumen modifier (to improve feed conversion).

 

COMPOSITION

Cottonseed meal, copra meal, canola meal, soybean meal, urea, molasses, vegetable oil, limestone, sodium bentonite, dicalcium phosphate, potassium chloride, salt, monensin sodium, VVRS ruminant vitamin & mineral premix.

 

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

• Introduce cattle to the blended grain ration gradually over a 2 to 3 week period.

• DO NOT FEED DIRECTLY IN CONCENTRATED FORM.

• Ensure good quality grain is used, mix 94% grain with 6% (60kg/tonne) of VVRS 50% STUD CATTLE CONCENTRATE.

• THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE FEED. It has been designed to supplement hay and/or pasture feeding.

• Roughage supplied should be supplied ad-lib and to a minimum not less than 50% of their total intake.

• Ensure that there is ample access to clean water.

VETERINARY CHEMICALS

This feed contains the following veterinary chemical:-

• Monensin sodium at the rate of 500 mg/kg

 

MEDICINAL CLAIM

Monensin sodium is added to this feed to improve feed efficiency, weight gain and aid in the control of bloat.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:

 VVRS 50% STUD CATTLE CONCENTRATE can be mixed with all grain types to provide a complete ration suitable to be fed to stud or show cattle during their growing/conditioning phases.

      If an unrestricted access to feed is allowed, it is recommended that a rumen buffer be included in the complete ration as this will aid in the prevention of acidosis. Sodium bentonite at an inclusion rate of 2% or sodium bicarbonate at 0.5% -1% of the ration is adequate.
