Converter Pig Iron (Free Carbon) (FCCPI)

Introducing a very new revolusionary product in steel making, Free Carbon Converter Pig Iron (FCCPI). In steel making process, the raw material used are steel scrap and normal pig iron which usually contained 3-4% Carbon. Converting iron (C> 2% )  into steel is to eliminate all the impurities (including Carbon) to desired level of non Fe contain is achieved. It is done in CONVERTER furnace which will convert iron into steel. The normal converter furnace is Besemer, Open Heart, Electric Furnace or Oxigen LOD furnace. All this furnaces will eliminate all the impurities and reduce the carbon contain to lower than 2%. After all the impurites is eliminated, then all other oxides shall be cleaned up by deoxidiser : normally by ferromanganese, ferrosilicon, ferrotitanium etc, thus additional Manganese, Silicon or Titanium exist in steel which improve mechanical properties of the steel.

Our Converter pig iron is free of Carbon, thus make it very possible to cast into steel WITHOUT OXIDATION, additional Carbon may be given from outside (charcoal, cokes, coal or other carbonic source), thus our pig iron is very revolusionair, possible to make steel without oxidation.
