Wollastonite ---A white or grey mineral consisting of calcium silicate in triclinic crystalline form: Occurs in metamorphosed

limestones, Formula: CaSiO3

Naturally occurring, calcium metasilicate (CaSiO3), white, non-metallic mineral with an acicular particle shape. 

Wollastonite's unique chemistry and acicular (needle-shaped) physical structure make it one of the world's most versatile and

effective value-added performance materials. 

Due to the mineral's acicular struture, products have improved physical properties and durability. 

It's high melting point gives execellent thermal stability in coatings, ceramics and other applications. 

The high pH and low solubility of wollastonite aid paint stability. 

Wollastonite is a non-hazardous mineral that has been seientifically shown to have low bio-persisitence.
