Their Properties/Features
Kraft Paper 1) Kraft paper is a kind of tough and tensile, moisture-proofing packaging paper. It has a high strength of bursting and tearing. This kind of paper is often used for file folders, envelops, shopping bags, wrapping boxes etc. 2) Kraft papers are divided in 2 colors: White and Brown. 3) The thickness of White Kraft Paper is from 80 - 150grams per square meter while Brown Kraft Paper is 80grams-250grams per square meter. 4) Its excellent adhesion and abrasion resistance enable this material applied to offset printing and roller printing. 5) It’s well finished as products as soon as printing done, no necessary to laminate.
Coated Paper 1) Art paper is a high-class printing paper made from white coated base paper. It is widely used as covers and pages of excellent books, color books, attractive products advertising, sample book etc. 2) Art paper has its regular thickness: 80g, 105g, 128g, 157g, 200g, 250g, 300g, 350g, 400g, but only thickness at 157g, 200g, 250g can be used as material for paper tote bags. 3) Compare with Kraft paper, it has a poor adhesion, abrasion, and not good to burst and tear, so it has to be laminated OPP film outside after printing to increase its tensile strength. In this case, the products won’t be faded and improve its moisture-proofing ability.
White cardboard 1) White cardboard is more stiff and thick than other paper, so it has a large demand in the market. This paper is made of single-layer or multi-layer pure wood paper glued together. 2) White cardboard is often produced as thickness of 190g, 210g, 230g, 250g, 300g, 350g, and 400g, but only 190 to 250grams thickness can be used for paper bags production. 250 to 400grams thickness can be used for paper boxes production. 3) Because it’s thicker, we often recommend laminating OPP film outside after printing, to avoid break off and poor moisture-proofing, increase the paper bags’ tensile strength.
DuPont Paper 1) DuPont is also named as Tyvek, a brand of flash spun high-density polyethylene fibers, a synthetic material; the name is registered trademark of DuPont. The material is very strong; it is difficult to tear but can easily be cut with scissors or a knife. Water vapor can pass through Tyvek (highly breathable), but not liquid water, so the material lends itself to a variety of applications: disposable clothing, coveralls, lab coats, medical packaging, envelopes, car covers, air and water intrusion barriers (house wrap) under house siding, labels, wristbands, mycology, and graphics. 2) So Tyvek is kind of luxurious material at high price of USD2.8 per square meter.
