INTRODUCTION OF The Falling Ball Clock

 

            The Falling Ball Clock is also known as the Spherical Weight Clock. This clock has no mainspring, no key and no winder! It works solely on gravity with the balls slowly moving down the large'paddlewheel' so provicing the force for the clock.  The speed of the movement is controlled through an 11 jewelled paltform escapement to enable accurate timekeeping. The balls fall from the paddlewheel onto the base(1every 4 hours) and when several have collected they can be replaced on the top rack to give virtual perpetual motion. The clock comes with 24 balls and a solid mahogany base. An optional glass case is available.
