Polybutadiene is a thermoplastic elastomer which has two characteristics of plastic and elastomer. It is a nonslip rubberlike polymer. Its specific gravity is low. It has excellent gas transmission rate, transparency and flexibility. It is a suitable replacement for PVC tubes for medical use because it does not contain plasticizer and does not affect the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API). It is also suitable for baby and maternity products. It conforms to the requirements of Official Notice No. 20 from the Ministry of Health, Labor, and. Welfare ( Japanese standard for food packaging ). It does not generate toxic gas such as chlorine gas during incineration.
