Inspection Service

 

1. Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) / Final Random Inspection (FRI)

 

PSI, abbreviation of Pre-shipment Inspection, is also called FRI (Final Random inspection) by some inspection companies. This inspection, the most important and popular service in Inspection activity, aims to guarantee the conformity of production to your specifications and international standards. PSI is performed when 100% of the production is finished and at least 80% of final product is packed. The scope of this inspection consists of the quantity, packaging, quality, marking, and the other important points requested by the clients and international standards. This inspection should be carried out in general in the factory of seller, according to the standard ANSI/ASQ Z1.4-2008 AQL

 

At Sunchine, before performing each mission of PSI, the account manager will send one document called <Job File> for approval of the client. In the <Job File>, all the details of inspection scope will be mentioned; the client can add or delete some points as per his/her requirement. Once this file is approved, signed and sealed by the client, it becomes one inspection agreement, also serves as the checking list to guide the inspector during the mission.

The account manager of Sunchine will be available during all inspection process, for any question or requirement from the client. If any major defect or discrepancy is detected during inspection, the account manager has the responsibility to inform the client immediately if possible.  

 

The inspection report will be sent to the client within 24 hours upon the completion of inspection. Also, the after-sales service will contact the client to collect the feedback soon.

 

2.During Production Check (DUPRO) / During Production Inspection (DPI)

 

DUPRO, the abbreviation of During Production Check, has another term: DPI (During Production Inspection) or In-Process Inspection. DUPRO is widely used in the inspection process, especially as one important complementary solution of PSI (PSI is good but sometimes it’s too late to correct or replace the big defects due to the problem of delivery delay).

This inspection is carried out when at least 20 % to 60% of your production is completed to ensure that contractual obligations regarding product specifications, packaging and marking are met. This inspection covers all the aspects of a quality inspection performed according to AQL standards or as per the clients’ requirement: workmanship quality, raw materials, product appearance, weight check, size measurements, functionality assortment, accessories, logos, labelling and marking, packaging, packing and other special requirements depending on the product specifications and the export market.

During Production Inspection ensures that the quality of products is maintained throughout the manufacturing phase. The unfinished products and the compliance with the initial planning of production are also verified. This inspection can be essential to verify that the production is on the right way and if necessary identify the deviations and suggest all the necessary corrective actions.

 

Compared with PSI, DUPRO has the following advantage:

1)    Defects could be found and at the early stage, so the importers can discuss with the exporters, to find the solution at least cost, which could reduce the possibility of commercial dispute significantly;

2)    If the defects are found, the supplier has more time to correct or replace, so it could help the importer to avoid the problem of delay of delivery;

 

3. Initial Production Check (IPC)

 

Initial Production Check (IPC) also called Pre-Production Inspection (PPI).

IPC is offered in combination with other inspections such as During Production Inspection, Final Random Inspection and other on-line production checks.

 

IPC is an inspection of all the machinery, raw materials, materials and components to be used for the smooth execution of your order. Our inspector checks if your factory completely understands your requirement and the specification of your order and is capable to meet your requirementas regards quality, production capacity and lead time.

 

This inspection is completed just before starting of mass production, prevents any potential production flaws and ensures that the materials used are contractual and meet the standards of the countries of destination of the goods.

 

Lab testing can be included in the Pre-production Inspection for quality assurance on materials.

IPC has the following main advantages:

 

- Avoiding misinterpretations and misunderstandings

- Ascertaining your requirements

- Preventing usage of wrong material, wrong components, wrong colours, etc

- Allowing implementing corrective actions before mass production is launched

- Avoiding unexpected costs and unnecessary delays

4.Production Monitoring (PM)

 

Our accredited inspectors, internationally certified with years of experience in your branch of activity, represent your interests in the factory and closely monitor all the production process in China daily or when requested by you.

 

The inspector tracks on site each steps of the production process and detects the eventual productions defaults in real time, helps you and your vendor to correct them quickly by putting his experience and know-how at your service.

 

Our inspector makes sure that your requirements and schedules as agreed initially upon with your manufacturer are met in terms of production timing and deadlines, material, quality, compliance with international standards and delivery time.

5.First Article Sample Inspection (FAI)

 

First Article Inspection attests that all engineering, design and specification requirements are rightly understood, accounted for, verified, and recorded.

 

The inspection takes place at factory floor right after the manufacturer starts producing the first mass production samples. A complete, independent, and documented physical and functional inspection process is conducted.

 

Our inspector, expert in the field, verifies that prescribed production methods have produced a correct item as specified by engineering drawings, planning, purchase order, engineering specifications and requirements and/or other applicable design documents. The sample inspection is used as a quality tool for improving and planning the mass production.

 

The FAI helps you control and organize your production schedule and avoid misunderstandings and misinterpretations, unnecessary reengineering work, delay and costs. Upon completion of the inspection, the results will be examined thoroughly with relevant factory staff and management to implement all necessary corrective actions so that your production may be carried out smoothly.

 

6.Container Loading Check (CLC) / Container Loading Inspection (CLI)

 

Container Loading Check (CLC) is also called Container Loading Inspection (CLI) or Container Loading Supervision (CLS) The CLC takes place when loading the container. This inspection verifies that the goods delivered are compliant in all respects with your specifications (quantities, characteristics and quality) and are packed and loaded safely and securely.

The general state of the container, its process of loading and the installation of the seals are checked by our inspector to ensure you that your container is loaded in its entirety and in all safety.

 

Please note that for an accurate QC checks on product specifications, labelling & marking and testing, you should require a standard inspection, such as a Final Random inspection or DUPRO inspection.

AQSIQ is the acronym for "The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine" which is a ministerial-level department under the State Council of China. 

AQSIQ is one of the major quality management institutes which collaborates with recognized foreign organs outside China. AQSIQ defines the National settled criteria level in China to perform audits and product inspections in China. AQSIQ is serious and very strict and fully responsible for entry/exit of product inspection in China. . Only inspection companies proving their reliable expertise and abilities can get the AQSIQ license after being thoroughly controlled and assessed by AQSIQ organization experts.

If there is no AQSIQ license, the inspection company is not officially recognized to legally  carry out  inspections and quality controls in China. Therefore,  if the inspection company you are cooperated with has no AQSIQ license, you can't be protected by law because their services cannot have no legal effects. All Sunchine Inspection Reports have legal effects & are accepted by Authorities.
