Zinc powder properties
Insoluble in water, soluble in acid and alkali, slowly soluble in acetic acid, ammonia. Has the strong reducibility, and acid-base release hydrogen.

Blue green flame burning in the air, produce zinc oxide. Reaction with sulfuric acid, nitric acid of high purity is slow, when contain small amounts of other metals such as steel, tin, lead, the reaction rate.
Zinc powder usage
