Activated bleaching earth is also known as fuller earth and is clay that is mined in various countries including in Asia, USA and the Germany. Inner Mongolia has very rich bentonite ore, up to more than 1 billion tons.It contains montmorilloinite clay and bentonite clay as well as attapulgite clay. These clay types are found individually and also in combination.

SYKOL 277 bleaching earth is obtained by treating bentonite of good quality (montmorillonite clay minerals), with mineral acid (generally with sulfuric acid) and by eluting a part of basic components, such as aluminum, iron and magnesium, which has a large specific surface area and a large adsorption capacity because of it’s porous structure.It was made based on SYKOL 195A, for improving the relation with the Bleaching Ability and Activity Degree.
For proceeding the filtration rate, we also add some special mines to reduce the working time, so SYKOL 277 needs a longer production period. After a series of professional tests in lab and practical using in bulk production, we recommend SYKOL 277 to palm oil plants, coconut oil plants, fish oil plants, and rice bran oil plants in tropical areas.
