Polyforte offers the anti-static floor finish manufactured with alloy cross-linking technique. This premier floor finish is manufactured with acrylic-acid polymer and is combined with coalescent additives, leveling aids and wax emulsions. This fast-drying, wearable floor finish also provides a high-gloss, dust-free finish.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Floor preparation:

To trip floor of old finish, first apply striping chemicals onto the floor using a mop and allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until white foam forms. Remove the finish with a floor scrubber. The procedure may be repeated in order to fully remove the old finish. Remove stripping agent from the surface with a water and dust collector. Rinse floor until all residues is removed.

If the floor was not polished, clean the floor with floor cleaning agent and a floor scrubber. Dry the floor with a mop and the finish can be applied.

Polish application: Dampen the mop with Polyforte^TMAntistatic Floor Finish and wring out. Apply a thin, even coat of polish to floor using figure-of-eight strokes. Allow the polish to dry and apply a second coat using the same method.

Buffing and Burnishing: Buff floor with white buffing pad to a high shine. Polish after 24 hours to obtain a glossier finish.

 

Common errors and possible solutions:

1.	Low gloss	humid environment	Use a fan to speed up air circulation. Must not blow directly to the floor.
		The second coat was applied before the first coat dried out	Must apply the second coat after the first coat dries out
		Stripping agent was not fully washed off	Fully remove the stripping agent before applying polish
		Incomplete buffing	Buff after 24 hours
2.	Scratches	Polish is too thick	Redo after stripping
3.	Flaking	Room temperature is too low (<5℃)	Increase room temperature
		Long term usage of basic detergents	Use neutral detergents
		Usage of two types of polishes	Use only one type of polish
		Buffing pads or polishing pads are too hard	Choose softer pads
4.	Stripes	Polish is too thin, mop or floor was not cleaned properly	Increase the amount of polish applied; Use clean mops and clean floor thoroughly before applying polish
5.	Fish eye shaped patterns	Oil stains on the floor or oil-based protective agent has been applied	Clean floor with  degreasing agent or stripping chemicals
6.	Heavy foot prints	Polish gets sticky due to low temperature and high humidity	Buff for a few more times

 

Maintenance and related products
 

 

NOTE: The antistatic properties of the floor will be lost if cleaned with water. Cleaning with antistatic dedusting agent P1208 is recommended.

 

Polyforte^TMAntistatic dedusting agent P 1208 is an environmentally friendly dedusting agent with a fresh lemon scent, designed to control static generation and to increase resistance to abrasion. The oil-based solution can effectively clean the floor and prevents dust from accumulating.

 

General Use Directions:

1.     Soak clean mop in the Polyforte^TMAntistatic dedusting agent for 12-24 hours, and then wring out.

2.     Clean floor with the mop, dust can be removed by gently shaking the mop head.

 

Polyforte^TMStripping Agent is a basic solution which can efficiently remove embedded dirt and old finish to provide a clean surface for reapplying polish. Compatibility test before usage is recommended.
