titanium anode:
The full name of titanium anode is titanium foundation oxide coated anode (MMO).Also known as DSA anode, dimension shape stable anode.It takes titanium as the base material (wire, rod, tube, plate, mesh), brush precious metal coating on the titanium base plate, so that it has good electrocatalytic activity, electrical conductivity, oxidation resistance.Compared with the original graphite anode and lead anode, titanium electrode has the following advantages:
1. The size of the electrode is stable, and the distance between the electrodes will not change during the electrolysis process, so as to ensure that the electrolysis operation is carried out under the condition of stable tank voltage;
2. High catalytic activity and low working voltage;
3, low working voltage, so the power consumption is small, DC power consumption can be reduced by 10%- 20%;
4. Titanium anode has a long working life. The metal anode in chlor-alkali industry produced by diaphragm method is resistant to chlorine and alkali corrosion.
5. It can overcome the dissolution of graphite anode and lead anode and avoid the pollution of electrolyte and cathode products, thus greatly improving the purity of metal products;
6, can improve the current density, increase the electrolytic efficiency;
7. The oxides of the precious metals Iridium and ruthenium have antioxidant properties, so the titanium electrode has strong corrosion resistance;
8. It can avoid short circuit after deformation of lead anode, so as to improve work efficiency;

Notes:
1. The titanium electrode is black after oxidation and sintering. The uncoated surface is blue and has no electrode performance.
2. Once the titanium electrode substrate is pickled, all production and processing procedures and use procedures must be carried out strictly and carefully. When transporting, wear clean gloves and get stuck at both ends or edges of the anode.
Note: The titanium matrix itself is not conductive, and the outer coating of noble metal oxide has the electrocatalytic activity, electrical conductivity and oxidation resistance, but its thickness is only about 20 microns. If it is scratched or damaged, the electrode will corroded from the damaged area in the electrolysis process, thus affecting the quality and effect of the whole electrode.
3. The electrolyte remains stable, especially the cyanide ion and fluoride ion, which will seriously corrode the titanium matrix;
4. Add a filter device before the electrolyte enters the electrolytic cell, and it shall not contain metal particles with a diameter greater than 0.1mm, so as to prevent excessive accumulation and resulting in short circuit of anode and cathode.
5. When electrolytic recovery of copper, nickel, gold, silver, cobalt and other metals, the cathode attachment shall not be too thick, so as to prevent short circuit breakdown of anode and cathode caused by too small pole spacing or metal spine formation.
6. The distance between Yin and Yang poles can be set according to actual production, generally within 5-25mm.Generally speaking, the polar distance will increase the voltage drop, but it should not be too small, otherwise the cathode scale generated on the cathode surface will easily cause the plate short circuit;
7. Avoid inverted pole.Once the precious metal oxide coating is used as a cathode, the surface will produce a reduction reaction, easy to change into the metal, it cannot be effectively combined with the titanium base, resulting in the coating fall off.
8. When the machine is shut down, it should not be soaked in the solution in power off mode for a long time. It is better to load a small current of about 5A to protect the plate.
9. Add dilute acid or clean the electrode surface with clean water when the machine is stopped or under other maintenance conditions, but do not wash the electrode surface with nylon or mechanical materials.
10. The working temperature of electrolyte should not be too high. The ideal temperature is 25-40℃.
