Product Description
Iron oxide is an inorganic, red or dark red amorphous powder. Insoluble in water, soluble in hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, slightly soluble in nitric acid. Covering power and coloring power are very strong, no oil permeability and water permeability. It is stable in atmosphere and sunlight, resistant to dirty gas, high temperature and alkali. The dry process products of this product have coarse and hard crystalline particles, which are suitable for magnetic materials and polishing and grinding materials. Wet process products have fine crystalline particles and are suitable for coating and ink industry.
Red to reddish brown powder. Odorless.
It is insoluble in water, organic acids and organic solvents. Soluble in inorganic acids. There are two types: α - type (positive magnetism) and gamma - type (antimagnetism).
The fineness of the products produced by dry process is generally less than 1 μ M.
It is stable to light, heat and air. It is stable to acid and alkali. Strong coloring power.
The relative density was 5.12-5.24. If the content is low, the relative density is small. The refractive index is 3.042. The melting point is 1550 ℃, and the decomposition temperature is about 1560 ℃.
